After only spending a few months in their call center, I joined the content marketing team at GoDaddy as a video copywriter to help start a brand new series on their YouTube channel called, ‘The Journey’.

I packed my bags and moved to Seattle, Washington to be closer to the production studio full time.

Everything from content strategy / keyword research and casting to writing the scripts, assist in directing while on set and even editing the videos together keeps me very busy but I’m always asking for more.

It’s been a wild year.

We have some pretty big plans for our cast and crew going forward and I can’t wait to put it all together. Making a difference in someone’s life, empowering them to do the things they’ve always wanted to do but didn’t know how, that’s what I love about what we do.

Since the beginning we’ve been encouraged to throw spaghetti at the wall and see what sticks. This is one of the many reasons I love working for GoDaddy.

One of my favorite things about being in the studio is getting the behind the scenes shots. I’ve been named the unofficial official BTS photographer. As a group, we’re all constantly taking photos and video while we’re together and it’s resulted in some great Instagram posts.

Due to the increasing success of the videos, we’ve started traveling to local Seattle businesses and highlight actual GoDaddy customers.

We get to see firsthand how they dream, create, grow and manage their business while showcasing them in our videos. It’s really to talk with them 1:1, learn about their business and how they can improve.

Pushing myself professionally to create engaging content has really been the best part. Getting paid to make YouTube videos sounds like such an unreal sentence but that’s my reality.

It’s been an incredible Journey.

While we were going on this hike with the goal of taking ghost photos, it was hard not to take photos of the nature around us. I will admit I was not the safest driver on the road that morning, as I was trying to snap a quick photo while maintaining the speed limit.

TLDR; I have a really cool job.

Thanks for reading & drink more water
